What I've Been Up To...

This weekend I just finished painting our family room Farrow & Ball's Shaded White, the same color as our kitchen. It had been BM Ancient Ivory but as my daughter clearly pointed out - there was too much contrast w/the furnishings. Here are some beginning shots. Through the door below you can see the X railing that now surrounds the new staircase down to our basement where the renovation is ongoing. The staircase was previously in the kitchen.
I did move these paintings once I got going! (and rearranged them when they were re-hung)Hope to share finished shots in the next few weeks. My computer is still is bad shape and I've been too busy to get over to the Apple store and commit to a new one.

wow - looks great! is the shaded white the new darker color on that last pic? I love varying degrees of white, so I had to love this post :)

Repainting is always the beginning of lots of changes....

F&B colours are lovely so can't wait to see yours when its done.

I am having computer issues too and have made a first visit to Apple for repairs. I am thinking a new one is coming soon...

Of course painting can cause so much rearranging for sure! Especially with pictures...I mean while you have the spackle out right?

These look like great changes to your floor plan. It's a long process but I know you'll love the results.

I would love to see more of that snazzy X railing and find out how you kept it up to code.
Repainting feels so good once its over, doesn't it?
