Bunny Williams' Great Room

There's still time to visit the 2015 Southern Living Idea House outside of Charlottesville, VA - it's open until December 20.   One of my favorite rooms in the house, all decorated by Bunny Williams,  was the great room. It's a relaxed and comfortable space that is also very interesting.  The collection and arrangement of the art was fabulous. Great designers can create beautiful spaces but I think it takes a special talent to make them interesting as well.

Comfortable and practical - a dog bed nestled under an end table

a coffee table purposed as an end table - lots of room for books and things

  2. My mom and I toured this house two weeks ago. It was really hard for us to tear ourselves away when it was time to leave. This is probably the most perfect show/design house that I have ever seen. To me, Bunny Silliams can do no wrong, and this house is a prime example.

  3. What is always apparent is Bunny Williams ability to put together a room that doesn't look just done but has evolved over the many years of living in it. Very comfortable and warm room. Wish I could get down to this show house, thanks for sharing.

  4. Perfection! It's refreshing to see a designer space that is truly a home that someone lives in and not just a show piece. Wonderful mix of colors and textures after seeing so many griege on greige on greige spaces.
