UncommonGoods & a New Lazy Susan

The gift giving season is about to start and sometimes finding something unique and valuable for that someone special is easier said than done.  I was very pleased when Uncommon Goods contacted me to  preview some of their wonderful offerings.  Uncommon Goods was founded back in 1999 by Dave Bolotsky after he visited a Smithsonian Museum craft show and was captivated by the unique handmade goods and the talented people behind them.  Their team is committed to sustainability and offering creative and unique products. I particularly like how they credit so many of the designers and give you a full description of each item.   Of course, for my search I started here -  checking out all the wonderful items they offer for the home and there was a lot that caught my eye.  Like this smart swivel cheese board with built-in knife tray   (I love the fact that it has varying heights; making it so much easier for people to serve themselves.)

and this cool Custom Lake Art Cribbage Board. You can choose from over 4,000 lakes!  This would be a perfect thank you gift to family or friends who have had you over as a guest at their place. (For more great housewarming gifts, head here.)

Don't play cribbage!  No worries, what about this cool  Wooden Gear Lamp by Seth and Kali Keaveny?

They also have a very nice selection of art, including watercolors, oil & acrylics, mixed media and photography, which you can check out here. One of my favorites is She Believed She Could be Alena Hennessy.

In the end I opted for this really nice Lazy Susan with Serving Dishes by Dennis Cheng.  I think it will be perfect for parties or to serve a range of fixings/toppings for a meal like tacos.

Plus you can remove the ceramic dishes for a regular lazy susan.  I haven't had one in years and I'm so happy to have one out on the table now.

I also selected these cool Bike Lights (only $19 for the set), which will be a stocking stuffer for my son. They can be set to blink and also work well attached to a backpack.

I've only shown you  just a few items (the ones I chose are all under $100, btw) from their extensive offerings -  there's also a great selection of jewelry and items for men, women and kids.
Head over to Uncommon Goods to find that perfect, unique gift.

  3. Last Christmas our daughter bought my husband the cribbage board, with Back Lake in Pittsburg, NH, where I've been going to since the early 50's, (eek), and we continue to go to. He absolutely loves it, and insists on displaying it in our bookcase. Great gift, highly recommend!

    Merry Christmas!
