Apartment envy

I must be going through a phase - finding myself drawn to some more traditional elements than usual and lighter, neutral colors too. This lovely apartment is in the Marais district of Paris. All photos courtesy of Haven In Paris.

It's a bit grand -
and charming too
Can't get over this pillow - a pom-pom extravaganza!

You never know what will catch your eye...or why or when. What have you found yourself noticing now that you didn't much before? (photos courtesy of www.HaveninParis.com)

I love that Pompom pillow, so cute and maybe I would not have noticed it if you hadn't pointed it out. xv

Beautiful. Like you I also have pom pom envy. What a great pillow. My favorite part of the apt is the great use of framed art above the headboard in the bedroom. Love it. Plus it doesn't hurt that it's located in Paris.

My word! This apartment is stunning! What wonderful light. That massive gilt console mirror will always have a second home in my house, if needed. And I too, love the way the framed art is arrayed. Wonderful stuff.

Beautiful place, I love how so many Parisian apartments have the doors that open wide to the streets below.

I noticed the floors, the tall mirrors, and strangely, the fact that the water in the vase of the entry is filthy.

As far as what I am noticing in general - clocks - in particular mora clocks! Never cared about them or noticed them much before last week, now I am scouring the internet for them.

That is a stunning pad. The style, the colours, right up my alley.

Weirdly, I am usually into a super light palette but for some reason dark colours, brown especially, are drawing my eye lately!

Lovely post - where did you find this place?

If I could I would live in Paris or at least have a house that looked like I lived there. Lovely.

Such wonderfully propotioned rooms are a good basis for achieving the "wow" factor, and this is borne out by the simple use of elegant and classical pieces of furniture, and a very uncluttered and understated look. Exquisite!

I would be perfectly happy to spend every day of the rest of my life in that apartment!

I love all that is French design - especially when the fluff is toned down and the understated glam takes its place! Mmmmmm. Love the high ceilings and windows and that floor! Simply gorgeous.

An apartment with a chandelier... that's certainly grand. The space itself feels quite vast and welcoming. The set of furniture is also quite beautiful, so there's a lot of reason to stay!
