The Inn at Perry Cabin which is located in the idyllic town of St. Michaels, MD on the Eastern shore. The suite she stayed in is lovely and I'm so happy she shared her pictures with me. Love the skirted vanity table and the two table lights! They remind me of the ones that designer Jeffrey Bilhuber often uses.
A bit more elegance with the marble topped bedside bureau.
Love the wide striped English sofa and the crab accent pillow. The Eastern shore and crabs are synonymous. Looks so comfortable.
Their suite included a separate sun room with a desk overlooking the water. Just lovely.
In addition to a large bathroom, they also had a separate powder room with Chinoiserie wallpaper. I spy Molton & Brown toiletries - very nice.

With Orient Express, it is less Laura Ashley and more Chinoiserie. A gorgeous place.
Lovely and so comfortable appearing. A bit more contemporary as compared to the other former Ashley property located in Virginia, Keswick Hall.

Gorgeous. I am SOOO into that milky medium brown and white right now. Don't know why! Love the wide stripe sofa. Also the hits of soft blue in the last photo. Going to check out more pictures!
* Such a WELCOMED CHANGE from the ubiquitous (albeit SO LOVELY!) blues & whites USUALLY seen & used in places like this~~~~ I IMMEDIATELY felt calm, welcomed & NOT OVERWHELMED with "STUFF"! I love it, and I love that it made me feel I COULD just relax...
Sure do WISH, tho, that the orange china garden seat would "find a new home", and that the cords at the desk would be disguised/hidden... It would then be a true "ten"! (But as it is, "9.9" is "pretty darned good", wouldn't you say?)~

This is on my list of places to go - ever since I saw it in the movie 'Wedding Crashers'. Alas, no kids are allowed, so I need to wait until the rare opportunity presents itself when the kids are at my sister's house.
Room for two please - simply exquisite! Adore the architecture.

Well I Love yellow exteriors and I really enjoyed the interior. Fab to see and it really does look and feel like you could stay a while and probably write a book in the process.

Ahh, good times. My husband and I went to the Inn before we were married over 15 years ago. It was partly owned by Laura Ashley, I believe. Still idyllic.
Took several family members there for a long Thanksgiving weekend eight years ago. It's quite nice, and the service was impeccable. I thought the restaurant was a little disappointing, but perhaps that's changed.
