On our no-outlet loop street, we understand why we're always dead last on the list to get plowed. Even when they do come, County plows often get stuck on our steep road. So, as we did in 2003, we all got together and dug ourselves out! Here's the view from my house first thing this morning.
One hour later we've cleared this down hill section and rounded the corner...
another hour later to meet up with our neighbors who came down the other side...
Now, time to sit in the newly made igloo and sip a cup of hot buttered rum.

Now I know why I live in the desert! WOW!
What a contrast! I am sitting here with perspiration on every part of my body contemplating whether or not to put the airconditioning on this early in the day. You have wonderful neighbours! A-M xx
Wow! Edward is so envious of your snow!!
i am so jealous.
i know snow is a pain in the arss,
but darn it is beautiful.

Well at least look at it this way....that is one heck of a work out! Hot buttered rum...mmm, makes me think of the mix I have in the freezer...may just have to join you!
Oh my gosh what a job. Having been to your place I know what this job must have been like. Motrin and cheer's Bob.
It took me about an hour to get my car cleared! But what a glorious clear day today!
Wow, that is amazing. I heard about your giant storm - we get weather like this every week, BUT we have the equipment to clear it too. Very impressed with your hardy lot of neighbours. Doesn't it make you feel great to experience that team effort?! Hope it is not too mucky when it all melts.

OMG I am in awe, with my condo in Kansas City, I no longer even own a snow shovel!!
Great job. Your street would be a nightmare without the neighbors. My kind neighbor helped me dig out the drive since Peter's new hip is still healing. But the snow is so beautiful.
Love the snow tunnel...brings back memories of when I was a kid...we had huge snowbanks at our place...
Your pictures could have been taken here in Belgium! It is snowing for a few days now! It is difficult to drive the car but on the other hand the outside look is gorgeous!
Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy 2010 my friend! And thank you so much for the support for my blog!
A big hug!

Looks incredible... winter forgot to arrive on Santorini this year (yet)... but even when it does come I doubt we will get this kind of snow....looks fantastic.
