Classic & Comfortable Style

Love the classic, comfortable design in the home of Sean Ward and Stephen Fillmore, which was featured in Style at Home. There's a nice mix of subtle patterns throughout the house - it was the perfect eye candy for the cold, blustery day we had yesterday. For more images, go here.

Really like the fabric and trim on this chair to the left.
A bureau in the bath, not as a vanity in this case, but used for storage is a nice contrast to the ceramic tile. Great bench too.

Love how the bath is "elevated" with the furniture, chandelier, and paper.

Great home!

Such pretty images. I like the fact that they each feature a very different but equally fabulous chandelier.

Yes, I liked that spread too - classic and clean but with a few quirky touches. It is a particular "look" that I see in the Canadian mags from time to time and cannot put my finger on it. Will have to look closer at these rooms that I think have that "look" and dissect what it is. I think maybe it is just the neutral walls and classic architecture and the antique furniture and spareness but with a slight masculinity in some of the furniture but a softness in details. Somethinn that seems famililar about houses in see in Style at Home.

Glad you are reading the Canadians - we can sure use the help!! xo Terri

The trunk at the foot of the bed is quite handsome. Wish I had one like that.

The dark floors are attractive, too, but with dogs, it seems like a lot of fur and dust would show.

While I've always admired it, due to your blog I'm loving the idea of a sofa/bench at the dining table more and more. Yummy.

What a gorgeous design - loved every room especially the last photo - the bathroom with the chest for extra storage along with the stool and chandelier... very nicely done.

The first image has just given me inspiration for a project I've just started....I love how they've worked the shades in over the french doors...I don't know why I've been struggling with what to do in a simialar set up. I am off to look at more pictures. What a great space.
