A few hours passed and I hadn't seen my husband around the house. Just as I was wondering where he was I heard, "Come look at what I did!" Dan had made a replica of himself getting ready to dive into our frozen swimming pool. Just had to document this for posterity...
I'd also like to send out a huge thank you to Gwen Driscoll of Ragland Hill Social for featuring my blog in her It's a Small Blog-World series. If you haven't already checked out Gwen's blog, be sure not to miss it. Gwen is a very talented designer and she posts the most incredible collection of images, including ones devoted solely to a singular color. Pink is next on the list! One of my other favorite recent posts was on the design plan for a client's China Seas playroom here. Gwen - so glad you're blogging!

This is too funny....your husband and mine would probably get along! I think the foxes discovered our pool as there are little footprints all over the snow on top of it. Gotta find humor in all of this white stuff, eh? Have a good one.
PS--I found Gwen's blog through yours and am really enjoying it! Love her "FDO" concept.
There is nothing better than a partner with a great sense of humor!!
What is it with husbands and snow?? Mine disappeared right before dinner the other night and I found him crafted a snowman complete with carrot nose, gummy bear eyes, and a hat.
First off, your husband's snow diver is amazing! As a child, my dad used to make the most amazing snow sculptures on our front lawn, we once had a lady reclining on the beach, complete with large umbrella prop and all...this really took me back! And, secondly, I really enjoyed learning more about you on Gwen's blog.
Hysterical!! Worthy of documenting...Janell
That is so great! How creative of you husband. Congrat on being featured its a great feeling! ~lulu
THAT's fantastic! How creative!!!
So great! He has certainly made the best of all the snow!!
your husband's funny. And I like his snow statue.
Cabin fever! I think everyone's got it now-days. He did an excellent job!
Pretty creative snowman. I can commiserate with you re the snowpocalypse since I'm in Old Town, Alexandria. Funny, I'm posting a snowman my husband made this Friday on one of my blogs. I tried to make a snow butterfly, hoping for spring. I think all this snow has made our inner child come out since it's been so hard to get work done. Humor is the best way to deal with it. Thanks for bringing a smile.
the diving snowman! too funny - when I was growing up there was a lady in our neck of the woods who built giant dinosaurs out of snow - she used scaffolding and built in the wee hours of the morning - this was back in the 70's before the huge dinosaur craze
Lifesaver! (with a wonderful wit!!)
love it.
