I LOVE this Bedroom

I picked up this month's Traditional Home and was completely taken in by this sumptuous and sophisticated yellow and gray bedroom designed by Betsy Berner and Tara Sutphin of Berner Sutphin Designs for the Stately Homes by the Sea showhouse. The fabric on the walls and portiere is by Fadini Borghi - what a beautiful pairing of fabrics! Under the windows, the insets have been painted gray (more noticeable in the last photo) and the planted urn adds another layer of patina to this space.
The sconce, the stools, the display cupboard - I could go on and on...Love it all!

There are so many more gorgeous pictures available on their web site here (click on Portfolio, then Sheep Run's House), including the sitting room and the bath with it's Pierre Frey fabric and Venetian plaster wall treatment. The photography is outstanding and the close-up vignettes are their own works of art.

Wow...what's not to love? The windows are fabulous with that black trim. And the picture in the link of the bathroom is really beautiful. It's hard not to love gray...so timeless. I've always thought of yellow as a bit harsh in a bedroom, especially bright yellow, but the gray really tones it down and makes it work. Thanks for sharing!

Be still my heart. Gorgeous from the black painted window panes to the gray painted insets of the molding, to the chinoiserie stool. I hope to have a home someday that I can create a cozy sleeping nook such as that. So charming.

Have a great new week ~

I like the alternate fabrics lining the curtains. A bright and sunny post for me, to emerge out of my posting cocoon. Come visit me, I've been at it for 3 days!

Gorgeous! I love the way they did the different fabrics on the reverse sides of those draperies - puts that little bit of extra glam and an element of surprise into the room.

Oh beautiful - so many pleasing elements. Love it. Yellow is a lovely colour and so nice to see it toned down and sophisticated with the grey. Otherwise it can get garrish fast when it is bright. Wow.

Everything in that room looks wonderful. I'm also fond of these St. Louis windows. My wife and I started to love home designing when we did a renovation in our house years ago. The St. Louis window replacement company helped us in making our house look great from the outside. And of course, it continues to the inside. Anyway, thanks for sharing other stuffs in your blog. Bookmarked you already.
