A Kitchen Wall of Windows

Some of my favorite kitchens are those with few overhead cabinets and one full wall of windows. This Charleston kitchen and adjoining den are flooded with light and feel very connected to the outside garden.

I'm guessing the owners removed the walls leaving just the fireplace wall. I like how it both separates and connects the spaces at the same time.

Think happy thoughts for me - the computer I use (the one with all my photos in it!) appears very dead. All hopes now rest with my son's 16 yr old friend who is a computer genious - I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

lovely kitchen space. I would love getting up each morning with that light greeting me.

Same thing happened to my computer (and all my images) a few months back. I was lucky to get it fixed and I am sure you will be, too. Those tech-types can work wonders...I did have a more-than-slight panic attack over it, though...

Absolutely love that kitchen with its wall of windows. If I ever add on to my house...it will be to make the kitchen deeper and I would try to have a wall of windows like this. I'm going to save those photos for inspiration...in case I ever get to do it.

I did a post on the no upper cabinet trend a while back. I love the look of all the windows instead. The fireplace was very clever. So sorry about your computer. Hope it all works out.

TO have this natural light would be a dream come true. I'm sorry to hear about your computer, but have faith in teenagers.

In response to your message, I will not be attending the Symphony Showhouse gala as I am in NC. It was wonderful to hear from you yesterday.

Stunning. Love the way the garden outside looks shady, and the play of the sunlight on the floor. Good luck with the computer issues. I can relate. I'm dealing with router problems now and also hope to start the process of getting transferred to a "new" computer soon--my daughter's four year old one, but newer than mine!

I would LOVE to lose my upper cabinets and add more windows. Unfortunately that would leave me with about 5 cabinets and no pantry!
