An Autumn Tree in the House

You so often hear the advice not to feature dried or dead plants in your home. Not good feng shui. It does make sense. However, I think this cutting of a tree with Autumn leaves is beautiful, especially if just for the fall season.

This Rome apartment was originally featured in Marie Claire Italy. I found these images via Verdigris Vie here.
Love the patina on this round wood table.

This is really beautiful- I love all of the organic textures in this space! The ceiling is amazing and I love the raw feel of the concrete entry... lovely!

I am dying to yank the carpet up in my home and paint the concrete! I love the look and feel of these rooms. They are stunning.
Have a wonderful day.

This is gorgeous! I love the rooms and the tree. I'm trying to grow an olive tree indoors (in Victoria, Canada). It's been inside for 5 weeks now and so far I haven't killed it!

I love to use cut branches - especially in the fall - this one is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for the room! Very inspiring!

The dark ceiling really makes it all - now that it is dark earlier. As a Mom, I sort of love it - hunkering down early, not wanting to leave my home! (like that tree)
Sorry - I could not resist.

these are absolutely beautiful and I agree that that dried piece/tree is perfect there...

I agree with pve...it's the ceiling that makes the space. I love a wood or dark painted ceiling in a white space...or any space for that matter!

This is fabulous. I love the neutrals, the dark wood ceiling, and the TREE is wonderful. I love bringing the outdoors in, but it seems to work better with rooms with higher ceilings. Thanks for sharing these great images.

Lordy that place is pretty. I have exposed cement floor in my lower level landing - does not look like that!! I don't mind the dead tree for the texture, but it must constantly have to be swept up after, don't you think?

It is definitely beautiful but I can't imagine what the clean up must be like. I bet those little leaves fall off all the time. Beautiful home though.
