I'm sure there are more accurate names for the reds, purples and oranges appearing here but the combination of these three dominate colors caught my eye. By the way, what would you call the color of the velvet chair?

Ohhh, I love these colors. They are the colors, pretty much, of my entire first floor.
I'd call the yellowish color saffron.
I'd call the chair a gold upholstery -isn't saffron more orangeish, laura?
Lovely picture- so warm! I thought Saffron when I saw the picture as well.
Orange, red, and purple is an analogous colour scheme - I learned that in colour theory class :-) But I like your name better :-)
Love the purple sofa with the nailhead trim.
I'd call the orange chair Maple Sugar.

Oh my goodness, these colors look beautiful together!
So rich. The color is an orangish-gold, but can't think of a name for it other than gorgeous.
Thank you for sharing.

Beautiful color combination. I'm staring out at the pumpkins in my courtyard as I write this so the color that comes to mind is toasted pumpkin.
I would call it "gold leaf"....smiles
I'd call the chair "apricot" or "pumpkin". I too have been drawn to this color lately.

This book nook is wonderful, all the colors really pop and help to bring the vintage aspect to the rest of the room. I came across your post this afternoon while browsing interior design blogs and the topic of window treatment selection was very interesting to me. How can you make window treatments interesting and vintage with bold colors like this? It is true that you must dress your windows appropriately to bring out their true beauty. Thank you for writing and as a special thanks to you and your readers, I would like to offer a 20% off coupon using this code upon checkout: BLG20.
Yes, it's exactly the shade of saffron after you have put it in your rice - so rich and beautiful!
I think I'd call it amber, since it has depth and a layered richness.
I'm going to have to agree with Laura and Christine, I too thought saffron. Whatever the color, it's all lovely...
I say its called Pumpkin :)
This is the color I want to do a wing chair in my living room so I am so reassured to see it talked about by you and your other readers. I LOVE it now but wonder if it will be as delicious in other seasons. It is surely the perfect color for fall though. I want it in mohair or silk velvet.
Golden camel?
burnt caramel? I always seem to give gorgeous fabrics delicious food names!
I need bookshelves, that's it!!!
