Charleston Eye Candy

As I'm prone to do on occasion, I spent just a little bit of time yesterday searching for beautiful Charleston homes. Here's my find this go around - hope you enjoy it. The period marble fireplace certainly catches my eye but I'm also drawn to the silhouettes surrounding it. Images via Carriage Properties here.

Back stairs have to be one of my favorite features in an older home. Check out the light fixture - isn't it amazing? It looks like it could have been made by repurposing something - does anyone have any ideas on what it is or is it a light fixture available for purchase?

Character indeed!! I sometimes look to see what is for sale in my area, for kicks...unfortunately I usually see something to get excited about!
Love the brick, the back staircase, the charm of this home.

Absolutely beautiful! I was just going to say it has the mark of an Amelia Handegan room- and I googled her name (for the correct spelling;) and sure enough some of these images appear under her name!! Maybe her office would tell you about the light, which is fabulous by the way!

best,
joan

Hi Michele - That is a beautiful home. I love the warm colors on the living room and the cool grays in the kitchen (?). That light fixture is amazing. Hopefully, someone will tell us about it.

I enjoy the details, it gives your eyes room to roam. What a beautiful home and the stories these walls could tell if they dare.
