Per Pantone, "Honeysuckle emboldens us to face everyday troubles with verve and vigor. A dynamic reddish pink, Honeysuckle is encouraging and uplifting. It elevates our psyche beyond escape, instilling the confidence, courage and spirit to meet the exhaustive challenges that have become part of everyday life.
“In times of stress, we need something to lift our spirits. Honeysuckle is a captivating, stimulating color that gets the adrenaline going – perfect to ward off the blues,” explains Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®. “Honeysuckle derives its positive qualities from a powerful bond to its mother color red, the most physical, viscerally alive hue in the spectrum.”

I think of honeysuckle as yellow...although I know there are pink honeysuckles....guess what? I have the 2011 color of the year all through my house already. That is the color of my sofa...my ceiling in my dining room. Which I was thinking about changing...but guess I'll keep it at least through 2011. Too funny....last year...I already had tons of turquoise in my house....so I was ahead of the curve on that one too.
I've been watching this one unfold all day on the blogosphere, and all I can say is 'please, can we have last year's color back? Neither fish nor fowl, and definitely not honeysuckle. I say it's pink, and I say the hell with it. :-)
Michele,
Red would go beautifully with that color, so I guess the bases are covered. Such a beautiful color.
I love neutral colors with just a pop of bright color so I not much will change in my world.
Thank you for sharing.

I was really shocked to see this color I love - as the color of 2011. Appears it's calming and makes people happy in times of stress. Not sure what that says about me.....but I have to say, a big High Five to Pantone!!!
Love it! Love pink.
Michelle, I know there may not be a lot of men fond of it. It is the color of one of my favorite paintings ever!

I was just thinking yesterday about your "red" post. I think you are still right about red making a resurgence. But this pink is awfully interesting!
Honeysuckle sweet. I like pink but in small doses.
