Brass Clams & Back from Scott Antique Market

Loving brass lately and I was so happy to find these nesting clams from Matters of Style Marketplace (www.mosmarketplace.com). Check out their site - right now there's a terrific acrylic clam shell and 2 yards of KWID Giraffe in blue, among other great finds. I would post pics of these, but can you believe, our POWER IS OUT AGAIN!! (blogging via an ipad w/low batteries).

This is completely frustrating as I've just returned from my first ever trip to Scott Antique Market and there's so much eye candy trapped in my camera.

Scott's can be overwhelming, can't it?
But overwhelming fun.
I try to go every month and always come home with something I couldn't resist. Even if it's just one antique button!

I love brass, especially aged with a lovely patina. I recently did a post about brass coming back. I'm glad people are overcoming their resistance to this warm, beautiful metal.

Oohhh- thanks for the Matters of Style tip. I've not seen it before and it looks like fun, funky shopping with my feet up and drink in hand!

Don't you just hate it when the power goes out!

Blast from the past! My family had that exact set in our beach home... if only I could find them now.

Michele, I knew brass was definitely back when I saw a whole new collection at Jonathan Adler. But, these look amazing. And...there is so much vintage brass out there...a good time to start scooping some up!

Hang in there with the power...we're in an area that loses it frequently. Can be so frustrating!

I agree. I just spent the morning downloading pics of some of my favorites from Scott's this weekend. I'll post later this week. Too bad it all could not come home with me!
