A Royal Wedding Party!

My lovely friend Anne, a lifelong follower of the royal family, hosted the most wonderful wedding party this morning. Gathering at 5 am, we enjoyed a breakfast of scones, tea, strawberries and a bit of champagne, as we watched together. Anne's friend, whose husband recently returned from London, brought back charming wedding commemoratives. Pictured here though, is a Claudia Pearson tea towel. Absolutely love this all in blue!
Beautiful flowers...
Anne's exquisitely monogrammed linen...
lovely tea cups...
a just-installed Julie Neill Beatrice 2 chandelier, reminiscent of a crown and...
a lifelong collection of books on Princess Diana created the most wonderful atmosphere for our memorable time together. Thank you Anne!
p.s. Wasn't her wedding dress simply perfect!

What a fun way to watch the Royal Wedding! I really should have hosted something...but just couldn't swing it. I watched it in bed, snuggled up with my 2 little princes.

I thought it was divine in every way!!!

Michelle- Yes, the dress was perfect!

I have the first half of the wedding taped to watch later. I could not get up as early as you.

Correction - I would get up as early as you if I had a party to go to! And no children to see off to school!

Dang...a party that early. I would have had to stay up all night getting ready for it and then I might have been a tad cranky by the time everyone came. Good for Anne! It looked like fun and those linens are gorgeous!
