Anticipation?

Patience has never been my strong suit. We have a huge patch of transplanted black raspberry bushes (not to be confused with blackberries) from upstate New York and I know I should wait until they're truly ripe before picking them. As my husband reminded me, I shouldn't pick the berry the very first day it turns black. Better to wait a bit...but, you know I popped this one into my mouth right after the click of the camera.

Are you anticipating anything fun this summer?

Anticipation...this word needs to be in the farmers almanac! The summer harvest is coming in however the sweetest little treats are still ripping. We have a few blueberries and blackberries from the orchid but not enough for a PIE! July 4th is around the corner which is our indication that the ANTICIPATION will end in a CELEBRATION! Thank you for making our mouth water!

Renee and Angela

I wouldn't have waited either. It won't be long before you will have a crop.
Have a great weekend, Michele.

I struggle with patience as well, I too would of have sneaking a berry as soon as a back was turned. Summer fun, not likely but will settle with spending summer packing boxes to move.

Cheers for that great weekend!

Unless you have some kind of net around your bushes, I think you're smart to eat 'em early. The birds picked my raspberry bush clean before I could ever get to them :(
Enjoy!

I have the same "disease" - if it is not anticipation, it is curiosity, but both can be cured with instant gratification right? I have strawberries...

No good things come quickly. I find for myself gardening helps me with patience because nothing grows over night. It's cool though when you think about it that it was this little tiny seed and now it's this huge plant.
