Post Prom

This is where most of the rental tuxedo ended up after the prom, taken off as soon as possible, right by the front door. Ryan's only a junior but attended the Senior Prom because he's class president next year. I'm currently in denial that he is home for only one more year.

The chair was found on the side of the road a few months ago. This weekend I'll be repainting it and adding fabric to the seat. Underneath the tux it's green vinyl!

You may remember the paintings above. These two were purchased from Margaret Bostick of The Silk Purse, Inc. (to-the-trade 404.431.5422 and at Atlanta's Scott Antique Market) Originally from a set of 11 by an amatuer painter in Ghent, they're finally framed and Im really enjoying them.

Now why did I not think of photographing the wadded up tux suit post prom. I do have a lot of pre-prom photos. I love yours. It inspires a painting.

You find the best pieces, Michele. Lucky you! Also, great paintings.
Yes, time does fly. My youngest will be going into her fourth year of college. Seems like yesterday I was going on field trips to the zoo.

Dress up clothes ultimately do belong in a pile on a chair. They are fun for a while, but how liberating to get back into a tshirt and gym pants...

Love your paintings! xo

I have my daughter's (stunning) wedding gown in the basement. It was so beautiful- and then it's over. But they always return... just in shorter amounts of time.

I love being a mom!

That is such a sweet photo - for all it represents. I hope he had a great time...so happy for him (and you) that he still has his senior year to look forward to!

They grow up fast, don't they?
