You Can Rent India Hicks' Villas

Many, many bloggers (including me) have drooled over the interior of India Hicks gorgeous Hibiscus Hill home in Harbour Island in the Bahamas. Did you know that three of her homes are available for rent - the Guest House, Cricket Pavilion and King's Treat? Here's a peek into King's Treat - more photos here. Hope you have a great weekend - stay cool.

Wow! Just beautiful!! We love Bermuda and I just might look into this rental. Depending on the cost of course! First time here, beautiful blog you have!

incredible! I've admired everything I've seen of hers and can only imagine how exciting it would be to actually stay in one of her homes...but I might never want to go enjoy the beautiful outdoors!

We adore these spaces. The bedrooms are perfect. Would be a great get a way! I know it would be pricey...but wonder how pricey? Would be a kick to know. Wishing you a beautiful weekend!

Just a tad out of my league! :-)

Rates for King's Treat
per week in US Dollars
Year round : $4,900
A $1000 returnable deposit against breakages, etc. is required. Christmas and Easter rentals require a two week booking.

Seems like half the design blogs these days focus on big kitchens, but most of those places do nothing for me. Then again, I don't really cook, and being surrounded by the trappings of Big Deal Cooking makes me feel loserish & inadequate, uncertain not only of how to use half such state-of-the-art appliances but also of how even to pay for them. Basically, give me a toaster & a refrigerator and I'm good to go.

Which is why I totally love India Hicks' gleaming kitchen. There are no trendy decorative pieces, no heaps of produce dragged in for the photshoot, no showoff-y statement cabinets, just a clear, logical layout & plenty of light & air. If Coco Chanel had designed a kitchen, it would have looked like this. Get rid of the man eating plant in the corner and it's perfect.
