Scott's: A Quick Visit

2 1/2 hours is not enough time for Scott's - but it's better than no time at all. Here are a few things that caught me eye during my brief visit Thursday afternoon.
Love these steel spheres.

Admired this seller's styling.

Too late for this one! I'm on the hunt for a table that can be used for a bathroom sink vanity. This was near perfect but not quite as wide as I'd like. If I had a car, as opposed to a plane ticket, I probably would have bought it though and found some other use for it.

What did I get? A large piece of coral shaped like a bowl. Here I've filled it with shells & I don't like how it looks! Thoughts - leave it empty...

more than just a tad jealous. I looked at my calendar last week and thought to myself, "darn, I missed scott's this month." I live almost three hours away from atlanta, but a trip to scott's is worth it every time...

I'm looking for a small table w/ shelf that can be my powder room vanity too. Before I read what you wrote about that table my first thought was, WOW, that would be perfect for my bath vanity - I love it!

Hi I just started following your blog and I love it! As far as the coral bowl is concerned, I think it would be nice left empty or filled with something contrasting...willow balls or small versions of the metal spheres you liked above.
Thanks for sharing!

i am drooling over the first image.
i can see restoring it and putting in a wood stove - for heat.
then
placing it in a forest,
and then....
the spending a day in it during a snow storm.

xx

Shoot, I want to go to Scotts! I have a little problem though- I am in Calif. Hopefully I will be able to visit Atlanta one day and go. Thanks

Oh how we would love to go to Scott's. Great coral. What about just sitting it on the top of a stack of books empty or using it in the bath room with soaps in it. Happy Monday!

Michele,
That would make such a great bar cart. I have the bug. Gotta go soon.
Thanks for sharing. I love Scot's.

Scott looks wonderful. And your coral presentation looks good too. Other possibilities - small sea/silk sponges, chi chi hotel lotions, bath crystals, home made soaps (i.e. GrumpyGirls),tea candles surrounded by small smooth stones? It's a lovely piece - I'm sure you'll make it pop.

I was at Scott's Thursday as well...I made a quick trip there and then headed over to Forsythe Fabric. I found so many things I wanted but I went with one certain goal in mind and didn't find what I was looking for...maybe next month.
I agree that the coral would look good stacked on books, empty.
