New Old Sconces for my Dining Room

A while back I bought 4 vintage sconces for $40 a piece from Plaire, a terrific esty seller. Two have been hard wired for our bathroom reno and these two (with new cords) are now adding some much needed accent lighting in my dining/library room. Originally I thought of hanging them but now I like them just on the mantel.
A little bit of brasso and windex did the job (or enough before it got too tiring to keep polishing!)

  6. These make such a lovely statement on your mantel. I love them!!

I'm an old-school Army brat, and I remember Daddy having to use Brasso on his belt buckle. I'll bet your hands were good and black after you finished polishing these.

  8. they look fabulous! Hmm -i still think I'd like to see them higher up, even with the art, but that would probably be hard to do as it's a brick wall. Either way they look great!
