One of the things that caught my attention was the year. This townhouse was first featured in Traditional Home back in 2007 and was built for Women III Showhouse in Woodstock, Georgia.
Images from Design - 59, posted back in 2008 here. Change a pillow or two and it could be published today. My favorite is the dark dining room - that you could leave just as is. (Designer(s) and photographers not known.)

Notice the narrow breakfast table - great reminder a table can be counter depth and still be practical.

A dark, simple and elegant powder room.

  5. Thats how home design should be though -right? I mean - it should change every 6 months like fashion. Too expensive and too uh-homey to live through constant change!

  6. correction- should NOT change every 6 months like fashion!

  7. I love it too. Timeless. I liken it to a Chanel or Valentino design, pure classical.

    Thanks for sharing

  12. With our move back to the United States coming ... eventually .. I am studying your blog religiously :)
I have plans for a house not yet bought, but which will be larger than the present home, and at least as old ( 100 yrs) .. I am so excited about having a new place to decorate ! :)

  16. I love it, anything done with classic bones can stand the test of time! Trends in small doses, a pillow can be thrown away but a good sofa is here to stay!!

  20. Why would anyone go with a design that would be considered a has been in 5 years? I suppose I'm shocked that it has to be noted that a home that was designed several years ago still looks nice. How in the world would the average person have the time, money or energy to redo their home that often?
