An Electrified July 4th!

The power is back on and I missed all the excitement. Lucky timing on my part. While my husband and kids were sweltering post-Derecho wind storm, I spent those 4 days up in Skaneateles, NY attending my 30th high school reunion (yeah Auburn High Class of '82)...
first at the Sherwood Inn and then here at this perfect spot on Otisco Lake.
Hope you have a Happy 4th of July!

Have a very happy and fun 4th of July.........hopefully it won't be too hot where you are but that might be an impossible place to find right now. Whatever the weather.......enjoy. XO

Wow Skaneateles is the town name on my favorite iron handled green teapot. I got it when I was about 12.

Michele-
So sad to see the tree and learn that your family was without power. I have heard horror stories about this, and I would have to leave. Hopefully all is well now.
Happy that you were able to make the reunion. What a beautiful place.
Happy 4th.

we were away too in Philedelphia and (thankfully) missed all of the excitement! By the time we were back power was restored but I hear horror stories from a lot of people who still don't have power, have major damage and lost a lot of grand old trees. So sad.

Oh, you were lucky not to be there. Beautiful pics! Good luck with the tree. Glad everyone was safe.
