Looking at this Charleston home, I'm struck by how much each room/photo invokes a mood. The first one in particular could be the subject for a beautiful painting. Is it just me or do you find these rooms invoke a sense of mood and feeling?

i love a moody room :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, wonderful and moody.
ReplyDeleteOh my lordy! This reminds me of the good old days. Looks like something out of Southern Accents or House Beautiful under Louis Oliver Gropp. I love these rooms!
ReplyDeleteThe rest of the house is just as lovely. Thanks for the link.
ReplyDeleteIn love with that third room!!what lovely pics!!
ReplyDeleteBecause I have been living with yellow walls for a while now, I am ready for a change ; so it's the blue verandah that attracts me most !
ReplyDeleteI agree, from serene, enlightening, elevating, calming, the list goes on and on! Similar to art and fashion.

IMy first house was built in 1668, outside of Boston and i can relate to the mood and beauty of this house. I just love these old houses especially with a Veranda. I must go and visit Charleston!
ReplyDeleteI see these are real estate photos but they MUST have been taken from a magazine, right? They're gorgeous and so very southern for some reason I can't immediately put my finger on.
ReplyDeleteI need to get some higher ceilings. I love some of these light fixtures.
Yes, I agree. I love the first picture
ReplyDeleteThey are works of art

So many beautiful images. Love the porch!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images. Love that first one.
ReplyDeleteLove rooms that reveal a sense of place and sense of self. My new kitchen/dining room/library is going from white to black. After living with white for 27 years, color is intoxicating.
ReplyDeleteLove the porch! thanks for sharing x
ReplyDeleteThe bedroom is one of my favorite spaces designed by Amelia Handegan, and yes, it did feature in Southern Accents. How I do miss that wonderful publication. Best wishes!
ReplyDeleteThe entire house indoors were designed beautifully and aesthetically.

This is Amelia Handegan's home.
ReplyDeleteThe bones of the house are perfect, and the decor is well-done, although way too traditional for my taste. I could spend serious time on that veranda, though!
