Designer Candace Barnes is a master at playing dark and light off each other. Hope you enjoy these interiors.
On an unrelated note, I haven't mastered new Bloggers "centering" function. Any tips for me? (photographer not known)
Hi Michele I love the driftwood like wood in the fireplace and so much else about the last photo. Having light and dark captures ones interest immediately!
Beautiful images, Michele. I love dark and light too. If you click near the image after you have uploaded. click on the image or near and a panel should appear, letting you choose your size. Happy Tuesday. Teresa xoxo
Light and dark go together. Light only, and everything seems to float; the dark anchors. Love the colors from the artwork in the background of the first photo. I agree with pve about clicking left, then center -- sometimes the pictures can be so obstinate!
Fantastic dark kitchen...I inherited one not by choice having recently designed my own ALL white kitchen and I LOVE the new dark....great images Michele:-)

The fun thing about the driftwood in the fireplace is it looks like flames.
I sometimes have trouble with the centering. I sometimes have to highlight the entire post, move everything to left or right justification and then back to the center. It's very stubborn sometimes.
I love a light and dark contrast. My favorite room in my house is a walnut paneled room that opens into a neutral colored living room - the kitchen is amazing!!
I love that kitchen and the contrast in her rooms!!! Brilliant. Hope you got the centering tip help you needed. Have a great week. xo Nancy Powellbrowerhome.com
The kitchen is dramatic yet soft and elegant...love it. I'm also liking the island with the open space beneath...perfect for pulling up a barstool to sit and use the counter as a workspace.

PS - I love the kitchen island....very unusual base cabinets.

Love the contrasts. I know I am in the minority, but I am so over all neutral rooms.
When I am introduced to new work...it just reminds me how much talent is out there! Thanks.
