On May 10th, 5 stunning homes in Arlington and McLean will open their doors to fans of design and gardening: two traditional, exquisitely-appointed and professionally designed and decorated homes, one amazing transformation of a classic ranch, a complete renovation of a house on a hill, and lastly a house that exudes ‘fun!’ with a unique and humorous collection of political memorabilia and modern art. The gardens at the homes are a bonus delight.
Tickets are $25 and include the tour and a tea reception at St. Peter’s
Episcopal Church in Arlington, VA. Cecilia Poellein Buss, a member of the first violin section of the Seattle Symphony since 1985, will be playing at the reception as well. I've had the great pleasure of hearing Cecilia play and am looking forward to it again.
Hope to see you there - it will be a wonderful day!
Proceeds from the event will go to the “The Love Quilt Project,” which provides handmade quilts to children in South Africa who have been orphaned by the AIDS pandemic. The Love Quilts send messages of love and support from American children through their artwork, which is incorporated into the quilt designs. Sample Love Quilts will be on display.
