Don't you hate it when you get all the way home, look a snapshots of what you saw, and seriously wonder either How did I miss noticing that? or Why didn't I get that? Love these Klismos chairs, which I don't need, but what's up with the petrified wood stump? Love it.
And for that matter, this pair of glossy gray lamps. I always find one lamp I love when I need a pair. Why didn't I ponder these more seriously when I was there - all -the-way-across town? By the way, there were lots of pairs of lamps at the Columbia Pike HomeGoods.
This mirror could be great as is or rub n' buffed into something different with a leather belt replacing the rope.
No, I'm not wondering why I walked away from this…Just curious, how would you use a big clock on a tall pole? Am I missing something?
I'm seeing lots of petrified wood stools/small tables at HG and love them. Pricey, tho. Your HG looks better than mine!
ReplyDeleteThe petrified wood stool, would be perfect on my front porch for fall. Leaving for HG's now to see if mine has one. :) All the best, Rié Portobello Design Blog
ReplyDeleteI believe the Columbia Pike HomeGoods is where I fell in love with that store.
ReplyDeleteThe clock on a stick - unsure where that would work. I guess it's a modern take on tall clocks? I'll take a tall clock instead.
Fun stuff but hit or miss often. Love those chairs and gray lamps! Xo Nancy
ReplyDeletethe clock and that vase belong together - really "special". Those chairs ARE fabulous and the little sofa too. I go into the Georgetown homegoods at least twice a week on lunchtime 'walks'!
ReplyDeleteGotta start going to Home Goods!!!! Love the chairs, stool, lamps and all - but seriously what's up with that clock??? Cute post, thanks.
ReplyDeleteLove petrified wood, still have a couple in my showroom and a few in my house. Could not be without them…until you need to move them…that's when you call for help!
ReplyDeleteGreat selections at HomeGoods! We don't have HomeGoods stores here in upstate NY (instead we have Marshalls - the same thing?). I found lamps in blue/white ginger jar design (very similar design to the pair of gray lamps) and I'm kicking myself for walking away from them. My boys would have a great time climbing up that tall clock... xx
ReplyDeleteLove HomeGoods! Every time I stop in I see like 20 items I want! They have a great selection of mirrors and lamps. Thanks for sharing your finds.
ReplyDeleteI agree/ hit or miss. Some days you hit the jackpot though, but they never seem to have enough help. One day I was there and found some adorable shoes and tops, but was in a hurry to pick up my son. I rushed over to the cashier, but saw a line as long as airport security! I had to leave my cart in the middle of the store and leave :-( When I came back, of course all those cute shoes were gone.
ReplyDeleteWonderful finds! I love the lamps and mirror, they are so fabulous.

Those Klismos chairs. Fabulous! I have been seeing some high end brands and always the most amazing lamps at HG.
ReplyDeleteHaha. Some interesting things. We have "Home Sense" a version of your Home Goods I think. And there is some weird stuff there by times. I will have to check out the Georgetown Home Goods next time we are there. :)
