I really appreciate the grandeur of scale in a smaller bathroom. Large tile truly makes an impressive statement. Especially when done in a uniquely designed tile. xo, Vera
We did that in our one and only bathroom in the apt in Buenos Aires. They tiles were white porcelain. The floor was a golden shade of marble. I miss that bathroom :)
they're great for flooring in more traditional spaces too -on the wall seems too modern to me. We did it in our previous bathroom reno and are doing it in the new renovation too as well as in the kitchen in a large scale tile from waterworks. our renovation started this past Monday!
I too have large 24" x 12" tiles from Italy in our shower. We have 2 border strips of small glass tiles going vertically from floor to ceiling (instead of around horizontally)for something different. I love subway but that's just more grout to care for. Something to think about when designing your bath.

I was just at Architectural Ceramics, and I noticed all the new big tiles. Love the bigger subway tiles - so modern and now!

Agreed. Hope to do this when we remodel our master bath one day.
Huge fan of the over scale brick, have it in my powder room and I do love the clean movement it gives!
Sorry. Not for me. On a wintry day I would not be inclined to tarry there.
