On our way back from Nashville, TN we stayed two nights in Lexington, KY at the recently renovated The Campbell House. Deep blue-gray paneled walls were the backdrop for a modern take on equestrian style. Loved how they mixed in lighter woods and finishes for contrast.
The upper inset in the paneling was a fine grasscloth or linen paper - not sure which. All the sconces throughout the hotel had equestrian inspired detailing as well. Very hard to see in the pic below - but the hallway walls were covered in a faux leather with stitch detailing.
Side-by-side coffee tables and pillow detailing
Finally, a thoroughbred statue at the winner's entrance circle.

Michele,
I have always loved Equestian style and when Ralph Lauren came out with it in his line I fell hook line and sinker and used it in many clients homes. The Campbell House has a warmth that looks like it embraces in comfort and warmth. Gorgeous color palate and I imagine your two days spent there was delightful,
