TGIF Eye Candy!

This has been a crazy busy week - so happy it's Friday! The first three pictures are from the home of Pepe Torres. Love these bright rooms that mix traditional and contempory elements. These images are from one of my favorite magazines. For much more, go to: Nuevo Estilo - here.

More to Read:

If you're a huge fan of Greet LeFevre of Belgian Pearls like I am, be sure to check out James at Garvinweasel's wonderful interview here.
Also, this past Wednesday I met a new DC area blogger, Daniela of Aesthetic Oiseau, at the celebration party for Sally Steponkus's regognition as one of House Beautiful's Next Wave of Designers. Daniela and I had a great time talking and discovered that we were similar in many ways - in particular, that we each have yards and yards of fabric that we love but haven't used yet! I was so glad my husband was there to hear that I am not alone in my obsession with collecting fabrics. Here's a peek at her stylish dining room!

And, thanks so much to Lavender & Lilies for choosing my post on Beacon Hill Christmas decorations as one of her favs this week. I love the montage she made w/all the posts - it looks great! Very happy to be in the company of these other 4 bloggers.
Hope you have a great weekend~ Michele

  4. Nice! A grouping of framed maps has been something I've wanted to do for a long time - nice to see some inspiration eye candy on it.

  5. This local blogger is wondering how she can get the design and mom bloggers together and have you take on her house as a make-over project.

In return, I can... um... teach you how to...

    I got nothing.

  6. TGIF indeed -and LOVE the eye candy! I'm not as interested in fabric as some -but I'll admit I have some set aside for 'someday' that I've gotten as remnants! I just need a bigger place or use for them!

  7. Great rooms Michele. Some people collect shoes--I too collect fabric! Just picked up some Manuel Canovas at the Parrish Art Bazaar last weekend--harder to hide than a shoe box! Cheers

  13. Hi Michele - loved this post. I can't remember if we discussed Homestead when you were planning your visit to Fredericksburg, but they used to have huge sales the day after Thanksgiving. Talk about fabric - oh my gosh, I bought so much for "someday"!! I also can't resist if I stumble across something I love at a great price, because I know I will wish I had bought it once it is gone and I think of a project! You are not alone is your obsession. Love following your blog and especially hearing about meeting other bloggers - what fun!
