Ripped Never Looked So Good

This pair of Louisa Settees with "ripped" strips of fabric caught my eye in the dressing room of Atlanta's Anthropologie. They're available for $2498 but don't you think this could be a DIY possibility? They're really stunning in person and looked amazing on the light wood floors.

  1. Ooooh....I don't know, I think those Anthro peeps might be fooling us into THINKING we could recreate that.
Truly awesome, though - dare I say - Braziliant?
    Imagine the fabric possibilities....

  2. They are fabulous, I love that they look equally good from the back as from the front. It's something that I think we often forget to consider in open concept rooms, where you are just as likely to see this angle of the furniture as the fronts. I'd love to give this project a try...(I have a bergere chair that has been sitting & waiting in my garage for nearly a year! Perhaps it's time...)

Even just a chair would make me happy.
Now how can I manage to get a chair from Anthropologie to Argentina ? lol ... I might have to take photos and see if I can have it made. It would be easier ..

  15. I think they are cut and the ends are frayed to give that ripped impression. How hip and chic at the same time.

  16. I noticed these the first time I walked into the dressing room at this new location. The lady helping me told me it was Vera Wang, if my memory serves. They are stunning
