A few months back a reader left a comment asking if I'd share my front door color. Well, I had so "carefully" stored the paint can lid w/the info that I couldn't find it until recently. It's Sherwin Williams Purple Martin SW1819 in gloss. Don't let the paint's name mislead you into thinking it's purple because it's really a bold blue. Guess it's name after this little guy.
my kind of boldness. mine is fireball orange by benjamin moore.

ReplyDeleteColors can really add or change the personality of a room or furniture. I think it will better if you post the before picture of your door next to this one just for a better comparison. I never painted my door with colors like this because it may look boring or awkward, but this inspired me to it! It looks more inviting, especially when the light strikes to it. So glad the paint did not lost its quality despite the long storage period.

Blue is always a good choice! Even if it's not as lively like red, orange and yellow, blue brings serenity. Its calming effect makes your eyes attracted to it. Maybe you can try adding some decor or paint another color to eliminate the "plain and simple" feel to your door. Don't be afraid to add twists to your wonderful blue door.
