Hello Patriot - Happy 4th of July!

On the way to Virginia Beach back in May we happened upon the historic town of Gloucester VA and a practice session for their reenactment of the Battle of the Hook, the 1781 Yorktown Campaign, celebrating General Washington's victory over the British Army. (It takes place Oct 19 - 21 if you're interested.)

I should have reversed the order of these photos to be more chronologically accurate :) but isn't the one with gunpowder smoke more exciting?

Tonight, like always, we'll be headed here for a great fireworks show.  Fingers crossed it doesn't rain.
