Recently Decor Journal visited (it's so exciting to receive comments!)and inquired about the dream seaside cottage I have featured on the right border of this blog. Alas, it is not mine but some other lucky person's. Every time I visit this seaside town I am drawn to this cottage. I love absolutely everything about it. It is classic and timeless and unique all at once. Also included is a picture of the path that you can walk down to get to one of the best beaches in RI.
IT is perfect!!! I have a very good friend who lives in Cranford, RI, and I have to tell her to go see this house! Thanks so much for the extra shots. I am going to save these pics in my decor favorites folder (con su permisso) I'd build this house anywhere! It reminds me of several built in the 30s here in my town. It's perfect. I'd buy it sight unseen!
Hi...saw this picture on pinterest and recognized it right away. It's in the town where we live. We walk by there on our morning walks in the summer. All the houses in that area are amazing. We don't live in that area, but make a point to drive there several times a week. Take care, Karen
This is the gate keepers cottage to a much grander home directly behind it owned by Chuck Royce. It was rebuilt about 10 years ago by designer and architect Hayward Gatch III, my brother in-law. Chuck is the owner of the Ocean House, also in Watch Hill, RI.
