While in LA I stayed at the W in Westwood. Thom Filicia was involved in the design of the hotel - you can read about his approach here. The built in L shaped seating was a terrific use of space in my small suite. The mini-gallery of art work was interesting and the movable overhead lamp was surprisingly convenient and effective.

There is certainly nothing generic about the hotel rooms-a neat mix of funky urban bungalow sophisticated glam. I like the faux bois wallpaper, the dark carpet, the lamp, the reversible pillow-it's all very creative.
Nuts about the table!!!!!
This sure does have curb appeal - so gorgeous! Tracey xx
Guess you will have to dream about going back and taking more photos... and what is that light fixture in the bar/closet? Is that an outdoor fixture?
Being a native LA gal it's always fun to hear other's take on the town and surroundings. I have enjoyed your perspective.

This was fun. I liked the house, and the hotel room. The dream pillow should read on side one "sweet", side two "dream". You could choose a different word you as you like.

I'm so glad you have shots of a room at the W. I love that hotel and had no idea that Thom was behind it.thanks for capturing it!
Thank you so much for looking at my blog again after all this time. I've got a lot of catching up to do with your blog (and others) from the last year!
That house is beautiful, and is actually one of my favorites as well. It's only about four or five blocks from my house. Love the garden.
