Back in January '09, I started a series on DC Designers and the first designer featured was Tracy Morris. I recently visited her site and was drawn in by all the new additions to her portfolio and reminded, once again, of her versatility as a designer. Tracy is participating in the 2010 DC Design House; her room is the Artist's Studio and she'll be collaborating with Susan Calloway of Susan Calloway Fine Arts in Georgetown for the featured art work. Really looking forward to that! (all images from Tracy Morris Design)
Love the styling in the photo above with the shawl hanging down.
This last room is from the 2008 National Symphony Celebrations showhouse, which I was happy to have attended on the last day (more here). To see the 2009 DC Designer Series post on Tracy's work, go here.

What beautiful work! I am looking forward to seeing the DC Design House - I actually postponed a trip so I could coincide my visit with the showhouse!
Love that kitchen.
What gorgeous images - number 5, 6 and 7 just break my heart! Why don't I live there?!

What talent! Thank you for sharing some of D.C.'s finest.
I grew up in McLean and have a special place in my heart for the D.C. area. My family still lives in the area so I try to get my kids up there as often as I can. There is no greater inspiration than the homes of the Founding Fathers! Did you ever visit the Twig House in Vienna?? It closed recently but was filled with so many great treasures!
Love your blog!
Just love this designer. Beautiful images. You are an amazing wonder with your blog! I'm doing your post on Sunday. Hope you are well. Have a great weekend.

Beautiful interiors! My favorite is the very first image you've shown. I like the interesting arrangement of the portrait placed off center, propped up on top of the chest. I may have to try that in my own home!
Stunning designs. I am excited to see what she creates for the DC Design House, which will probably be nothing less than spectacular. Love the room with the round table and pop of the black chair with those gorgeous window treatments. Beautiful.
So every elegant. I've been thinking of a capital base table for a current client and this is a perfect picture to show them as an example!
Michelle,
