It's Summer Somewhere in the World...

just not here, and that's ok with me. My son took this picture of the creek near our home at the beginning of the storm.

Back tomorrow with a blog post I'm very excited about. Here's a hint - Wanda Crossley and Kevin Chadwick of Matthews House and Garden visited me about my dining room dilemma.

Sending a bit of Brazilian summertime sunshine your way! (Although that IS a very tranquil winter photo your son took!)

Down in this hemisphere it is, summer that is, but if it is any consolation, it is stinking hot and humid, terribly uncomfortable, impossible to keep makeup on ones face (just slides off). Give me some snow, a coat and a gorgeous scarf any day... oh to wear scarves... even in our ridiculously mild winter... the reason we are so unfashionable here in Queensland! A-M xx Your photo is just perfection.

Oh lovely! I'm from Oz like A-M, no such lovely snow here - and in my part of the country - never!

I love the snow, wish i could visit it more often.

A beautiful photo. There's nothing more striking than white snow against black water.

And our own storm isn't scheduled to arrive till later today, but I much prefer these results--soggy cuffs, wrecked shoes & all--to a scorching, sunny day in August.
