Not sure why, but I was surprised to see the Southern Accents website was still up. It wasn't House Beautiful or Elle Decor - Southern Accents had it's own unique point of view. I miss it. Do you? (Designer Gerrie Bremermann, photography by Tria Giovan)

I do now!
From those images...it looks like I should be now, xv.
I agree. I really miss it.
Southern Accent was one of my faves and I too am sad it is gone. I kept many of they. It's a very sad time for many publications. I can't believe my subscription was replaced with Southern Living, YUK!
I think I have been missing out, based on those pictures. I love that library!
Southern Accents was my all time favorite and I miss it soooo much. I have a ton of back issue. Glad to hear their website is still up. Thanks for the heads up on that.
Each. and Every. Single. Month.
There -- I said it! I literally can not fathom why this magazine was let go -- especially when it had such a passionate following. Yep, it WAS expensive to produce! But it should have been expanded -- and more hardcover books published (as well as a number of items that would appeal to the "new techie" folks too)

I DO! quite a bit....so sad.
I miss it like crazy!!! The first image is a favorite, I especially love the Amanda Talley painting over the mantle! Check out Visual Vamp's blog, she is doing a givaway for a mini in case you haven't heard! :)
I couldn't agree more! Wish it would come back...and Cottage Living too while we're wishing...
Totally miss it! thanks for the reminder.. gorgeous pub.
I miss it too. I used to look forward to seeing the magazine’s beautiful glossy cover. It was a showcase of amazing and sophisticated interiors…
Yes! I really miss Southern Accents! I worked there years ago (in 1984) before it was bought by Time Life, when it was a small wonderful magazine just figuring itself out. My grandparents' house was in Southern Accents in the late 80's. The magazine was wonderful over all of those years and I miss it sorely. Wish we could bring it back!
I have thought about this a lot and I just do not understand how Southern Accents could have folded. It was really exceptional. Does anyone know whether there is any chance it could be revived once the economy recovers?
I truly miss Southern Accents like crazy!! It was one magazine that had its true own personality that embodied the gracious lifestyle of the South. It was a beautiful magazine that had a lot of heart. I hope and pray that one day it will make a comeback!
me too....:(
I was thinking the same thing while flipping through some old issues last night. Unfortunately, I discovered this magazine much too late and only have a few 2009 issues. The rest I've purchased on ebay to see Gerrie Bremermann designs and the like.

I do miss it so much and all the others. There is something comforting about having a beautiful magazine in your hand to flip through and enjoy. I love the computer and ease of archiving images but I miss my mags! Hope you are well.
I miss it , too. Thanks for remind me of this good magazine
I miss it so much...and so do the designers, architects, and furniture makers who were featured every month!
I miss it too. I hope the magazine will return when times get better.
I completely miss it!!!
Yes, I miss Southern Accents. I usually liked almost every home or article, that is not always the case.
We miss it so much. Great images you picked.
Yes, I do, the images were gorgeous!
Oh, I do miss Southern Accents. I treasure my collection of old issues and keep them at my shop for clients to look through when we are making plans. That said, I surely do like these photos. Thanks for sharing.
