This week I had a quick trip into Dallas, in Monday and out Wednesday but had a chance to squeeze in a visit to Mecox Gardens. Really, really wish they would consider opening a store in the Washington DC area.
Aren't these carved Rhinos cute?
Great industrial table - love the triangular shape.
These bedside tables have mirrored interiors.
Reminds me of Andrew Law's eagle at the DC Design House.
Finally, these great square shaped match boxes for only $5. I treated myself to 4 and then when I got to the airport realized it was probably prudent to empty out all the matches. (I only take carry-on) Good news is I can put grocery store matches inside and, in the end, I really only bought them for the pretty covers!

I love so much of the stuff in these photos, ESPECIALLY the lamps in the first photos and that metal table with the little boxes...

What a nice shop - I loved the Mecox in Houston - such interesting unusual things and a reasonable price point it seemed. Very worldly well-travelled looking things....
SUCH great pieces! I see so many classics there - and a few new things to excite as well. I wish they'd move to DC too - that would be too easy!

i also want the salvage mirror and if those two blue chairs are as comfy as they look - no price is too great.
The mirror in the first pic is incredible!
I agree it is a fantastic store. I visited their LA store at Cienega Blvd last summer. Wanted to ship most of the content overseas :)
