Hi Michele - I have not read the book, but it looks very promising with that beautiful cover photo!Deborah
Michele,I am seeing a theme here, that color, cottages and the lure of living in a bungalow.pve
It's a cover that grabs you with that bolt of gorgeous color. I do believe it's bougainvillea. When we lived in San Diego we had lots of it but in the more common red color. I suspect it's a great read if you can read a book by it's cover?!I loved Venice, CA! Thanks for the intro. Cheers ~ deb
Looks like bougainvillea to me....and you are right the shock of the fushia certainly draws your attention....smiles!
Definitely bougainvillea! I love mine and it's the one thing I have managed not to kill in my yard :)
isn't it fantastic? Venice has so many adorable little bungalows. Yes, those are bougenvillas.
Judge by the cover..., it looks like a great book!!!
I just ordered this book for the shop. I fell in love with that bougavilla too!So glad to hear that the rest of the book lives up to that gorgeous cover!xoBrooke
Love Venice & look forward to peeking at this pretty book.I've never seen the bungalows up close so here's my chance. Found your Beacon Hill post, thanks for the mention & the photo. It was so nice to hear from you today.Lisa
Yes Bougainvillea! If you are inspired to grow it in the correct zone, mind you--it does have some horrific thorns on juvenile branches. When the wind blows, the thorns can rip the rest of the vine to shreds, so yes, they can be hard in the wrong spot!
GREAT book cover! We are BIG on Bougainvillea here in So Cal... it looks like it! Cottages in Venice are FAB!!!How are you? GOOD I hope! ENJOY!Fifi
