It's freezing here in DC and we even have snow forecasted - I can't believe I didn't plan to go to Round Top this spring! If you're lucky enough to be headed that way, keep in mind that it's the only time Richard Taylor of Flat Earth Designs sells directly to the public. Here are some pics from when I visited his warehouse back in February - there will be small pieces as well as larger ones such as tables.
Richard is creating a lot more pieces in hypertufa - like the mirror above. It has the same great look and feel as concrete but is lighter.
Pattern can also be embedded into hypertufa. Apropos for Texas, there will be tables w/the Lone Star.
Table top yet to be mounted.
You may remember this incredible faux bois table from a recent post on Scotts.
The giant hypertufa balls are one of my favorites. Now there is a hypertufa garden seat.
A sneak peek into the process behind creating the garden seat.
There will also be lots of great troughs and pedestals.
Love the lion water fountain below.
Other news - Richard's Giant Clamshell is now available at Pottery Barn, as well as these really nice Shell Cachepots

To be his apprentice! Thank you for posting these exceptionally gorgeous pieces.
I saw the giant clam in the new PB catalogue and loved it...a great look at his other works - thanks.

I hate to hear you didn't end up making it! My sister and mom went to Warrenton last weekend (it runs the week prior to Round Top), and they had one of the most successful trips, yet!
Maybe plan for the October show, I think it's better, but I just love all the Fall decor they have out.
Love that huge clam shell.
How nice for him to sell to Pottery Barn! Great pieces! Wish I was going to Round Top this week. Too busy to budge!
These are gorgeous pieces!

Amazing work. I really love that "star" table top. I wish I could have tacked a visit to Round Top onto my Texas itinerary! Next year!! See you there?
