A long overdue update on our renovation progress. The stairs have been moved from the kitchen to the former dining room that connects the living room, kitchen and family room.
There will be a large bathroom w/a wet area (this first space you see), two bedrooms, a media area and a large laundry/craft/storage area on the other side.
Here's a new window that adds in more light. Four steps up and you're at the level of the pool.
One of the 2 bedrooms w/a 3' x 4' egress window. The second bedroom has a large walk-in closet.
WOW! Living through a reno is difficult at times...I have done it once....take care of you!.....smiles
ReplyDeleteWow, indeed. I just love a job site! Love the railing, can't wait to see more of your progress!
ReplyDeleteSometimes it is hard to imagine the beauty that will follow when you are in a house of dust. It will all be worth the disruption.
ReplyDeleteMichele, you have been moving mountains over here! Can't wait to see it all finished!

ReplyDeleteCode schmode. That railing is awesome! If you don't have babies that will fall through it, I'd put in a fake one until the inspectors are gone.
ReplyDeleteLove love love that railing!!!
ReplyDeleteLooking good! And I love the railing too!!!
ReplyDeleteAll this during a graduation....I lived that same life last year and happily survived it....
ReplyDeleteIt takes time, patience and money money money!
Well I think your husband is handy, so maybe he is doing a good bit of it and saving a bundle for you.

ReplyDeleteRenovating is really a great way to build equity in your home as it enhances its value. I’m looking forward to see more pictures of the development. I wish you success in your home renovation project, Michele!

It really amazes me how homeowners can memorize all those details concerning renovations. ;) That’s actually a good thing because it means that the structural design of the house was well-planned, and laid to fit the needs and wants of the occupants. I hope it was a success! Tyrone Speelman
ReplyDeleteI agree with Katherine! When we were also having our home renovated, I couldn’t picture what the result would be. You know, because there were a lot of stuff around the house, and the furniture were not yet in their proper place. However, once we were all done with our renovation project, the result was just amazing. It was just…WOW! :’)
