Want to make your TV less noticeable? These designers prove you don't need cabinet doors or moving panels - you can "hide' them out in the open if you limit the contrast from the tv to the surrounding shelves. Designer Bryan Patrick Flynn (
HGTV Remodels) proves it with horizontal and vertical stacked books and
Capella Kincheloe shows the way with dark painted shelving backing.
We've been thinking about this and I love both these rooms, thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of this! Sometimes tv's can become bulky and the main focal point of the room, but this solves that problem!
ReplyDeleteWe did this in my son's room. Great examples.
ReplyDeleteExactly what I did in my library with high gloss brown walls behind shelving the TV is less noticeable!
ReplyDeleteWell done!

This is a GREAT idea Michele, especially with the dark backing. We know the tv is there but it blends in to the background so well. My solution for our ugly tv has been a gallery wall around it, but I might like this option better. Perhaps for our future (dream) home!
