Long Lasting Winter Bouquet

Here's what my flowers looked like after 8 days - not bad for a $14.99 bouquet from Whole Foods, including a simple glass vase I'll definitely use again.  In the end, the bouquet made it 11 days before it started to look too faded.  My favorite bits are the thistles (assuming that's what they are?) and the mini-cabbage.

Oh thats great! I always buy flowers at the grocery store (price and just so easy). I've found the roses last like 3 days but if you get the other things (like yours, or daisies which are really my favorite) you can stretch them well past a week. removing leaves helps, as does refreshing the water every few days. Love the thistle!

WOW!!! 11 days! I find the color of your bouquet, the mix of flowers and the wonderful thistle add such A textual interest. I always buy my flowers from either Wholefoods or Trader Joes.
