Capella Kincheloe - formerly of Michael Smith Inc.

My friend Anne dropped by today with magazine treats, including the Sep issue of Atlanta Homes. In the What's Hot Now! section I noticed that Capella Kincheloe, formerly with Michael Smith Inc., had relocated to Atlanta and opened her own firm. In addition to traditional design services, Capella offers IDESIGN. This beautiful, restful bedroom was an IDESIGN project and if you check out the before pictures you'll see it's a complete transformation. Love the wall color, the taupe shades and the unique fabric on the bolster.
Just noticed the carpet at the foot of the bed that pulls in all the colors.
All three of these rooms feature an abstract painting that amps up the sophistication factor. The abstract in the room above is by Atlanta artist Tina Steele Lindsey. Notice how Capella propped the painting below in front of a traditional gilt frame.
Capella also writes a blog - A Curated Lifestyle. For more images of her work go here. If you're in Atlanta Nov. 27 - Dec. 12 you'll be able to see more of her work as she was selected as one of the designers for the 2010 Atlanta Homes & Lifestyle Christmas House.

What a beautiful, serene bedroom. The (aquamarine?) lamp is pure gorgeous. I'm not loving the bench but the rug looks absolutely yummy.

I am so happy that Donna from A Perfect Gray let me know you posted on Capella!!! Isn't she amazing? We are all excited to see what she does with The Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Christmas House. I blogged on her recently myself on a post Atlanta is A-Buzz, she is amazing to work with, and she is taking Atlanta by storm.

a bit too symmetrical for me though and i could lose the couch at the foot of the bed...

but i do love all the furniture all the same...great shot...

I'm crazy about the height of those side tables! Why haven't I done this yet? My bed is so high and the difference between my side table and the bed is ridiculous! I know my next project!

its a beautiful room, even though it does not offer much room or space for walking, yet it has been done very tastefully keeping in mind the need for open space, i like the way white as been used without making it seem sterile

Such a beautiful fresh look, it's fresh American Suburb look meets elegant Laura Ashley. I absolutally love how the artwork fit's in so well with each room.
