It's Been a Long Time...

It's been a long time since I've been in love with a space as much as I am with this one. So glad I rediscovered this April 2010 The World of Interiors squashed behind the couch in my basement, of all places. How could I have let you out of my protective care? Yes, magazines sometimes can mean that much... The genious designer behind this home is Bruce Budd, photography by Richard Felber. (--oh, and doesn't the planter above look alot like the one I just posted about here?)

I want everything from all these rooms.

Elegant and calming space. Really timeless. It reminds me that it's almost time to roll up the oriental rugs and bring out the woven ones.

Love the textures of the room, its a very serene space...the kind of room you can imagine having a good book in and just getting lost in the calm and pretty space.

This is a perfect space and I'm going to come back and "study" it when I have more time. Thanks for posting it. So glad you found the magazine.

I really like that blue tufted foot stool (is that what it would be called??) and a lucite coffee table always looks pretty! Glad you found your book again!

I am in love with the tailored, casual style. The texture is great too and I must have a lucite coffee table--I don't care if it is trendy.

I agree. Gorgeous rooms. Reminds me a little of classic Daryll Carter but with clean lovely layers added on top. Yum!

Now that you rediscovered the magazine issue you'll be amazed at how much you mind files away in our mental filing cabinets. Wonderful space, magazines, coffee, great light to finish out the winter.

I usually love lots of color in a space, but this space for some reason is totally calling me. I LOVE everything here, so sothing and calm. Looks like a space that the fiance and I could agree on :)

I see why you love this! It's great fun rediscovering a lost treasure as you have. Is the rock still living in your fireplace? I think it was inspired!

Agreed!! Absolutely stunning space. What a lovely eclectic mix of antiques with modern pieces. And of course adore the apple matting!!

I love how there is no crown moulding and the walls, ceiling, baseboard are all the same color. You really don't see the edges of the room, it's a total envelope that pushes out the boundaries of the space and makes you focus on the objects inside. Love this!

I am SO thrilled you posted this! A few weeks ago I remembered this interior and I poured through all of my WOIs (at 2 in the morning) and I couldn't find it. I seriously thought I was going crazy!! Your post provided the crucial information -- it appeared the April 2010 issue. Thankfully I unearthed it this morning in the guest room. I seriously love this space as well!
