Canadian designer Sloan Mauran's renovation of her 1891 Queen Anne style Toronto house is a standout. First featured in Canadian House and Home back in Feb of 2006, Sloan was ahead of the curve with her use of warm brass accents throughout the house, including the kitchen drawer handles. You said it "ahead of the curse" Some designers definitely have the lead. This is beautiful and yet classic.

I am so happy about the aged brass and gold being back. Beautiful photos.
I saw that episode of her home on House and Home when it was on HGTV. I had it on my dvr for the longest time and watched it over and over! Then my dvr broke, and I couldn't get my recordings back. I thought the house was beautiful back then, and it is still beautiful. I love classic, timeless design!
