Couldn't you spend a whole day in David Kleinberg's library? The walls are covered in linen and railheads - a creative, paneled effect. More here at New York Social Diary, photography by Jeff Hirsch.

One of your recent posts showed some beautiful libraries aside kitchens and dining rooms. It got me thinking....always a dangerous thing, as far as BH is concerned!
Between us, we must have a few hundred books, tucked here and there. Bringing them together in one place, near a table that is large enough to allow a coffee table-size book, for example, to be opened, would be very practical. Even a man would approve, n'est-ce pas?
Very clever and effective indeed! xx
what would we do without NYSD? I always look forward to their house tours. LOVE the nailhead!
That wall treatment is so cool. Love this space.

Yes, I love doing that to the walls! I recently did it in a "man cave" using charcoal suede and brass nailheads!
Love, Jamie Herzlinger
One of my favorite rooms and wall treatments! Phillip Jeffries has the wonderful rivet paper in a grid pattern to help achieve this look, but David's still takes the cake!!!

Love the linen walls....just beautiful.

You should check out David's incredible rug designs for Patterson Flynn & Martin -- just as crisp and smart as his linen and nail heads!
Classic and modern at the same time, serene with an edge ; yes, I could very easily live there !
so dog-gone cozy!
I could wake up in the morning in that room and manage to stay there all day with no problems.
I won't be bored reading in this kind of living room for the whole day.
