Fabulous Coastal Door Knockers

These fabulous coastal inspired door knockers come from Colby Smith, a Swansea MA firm founded in 1976. Each piece is sand cast in solid yellow or red brass, hand finished, assembled and lacquered for tarnish resistance.  I've never seen a horseshoe crab knocker - love it!   (above image via Sidney by the Sea)

This one is the Quahog - which always makes me think of Rhode Island and my grandfather.  He loved stuffed Quahogs!

Colby Smith also offers other beautiful knockers too.  Do you have a favorite?

I am drawn to the scallop shell but the oak leaf and acorn in the last photo are lovely too.

Michele I love this feature because I always notice doors and their hardware. I used to give brass door knockers to friends all of the time! so many gorgeous selections available now.

We have an anchor door knocker. No boat, just the door knocker, haha. I LOVE that horseshoe crab knocker! Those wash up on the beach frequently and the kids are fascinated with them. I am less fascinated, but I love that knocker!
